For the second year running Ryan Connolly from Connolly & Company received an award at the 2016 National Craft awards at the RDS in Dublin. Ryan was awarded the Emerging Maker award in the furniture category for his nested ash tables.

Ryan Connolly from Connolly & Company was awarded the judges spotlight prize at the Future Makers Awards. Design & Crafts Council of Ireland’s ‘Future Maker Awards & Supports’ provide support for the next generation of makers to learn, experience, investigate, develop, create and shape the future of Irish craft and design. This year the judges were ceramicist Michael Eden and designer Sasha Sykes.

Connolly & Company collected two awards at the 2015 National Craft awards at the RDS in Dublin. Ryan Connolly was awarded the IACI RDS Muriel Gahan award and also the Emerging Maker award in the furniture category, for his piece Walnut Side Table III. The judging panel described the piece as “a stunning piece of work, embracing new technology in furniture, beautifully shaped and curved”.
